Dear CNB.
This letter is submitted with our application to convert our preschool temporary, portable
modular units to permanent status. Three portable (modular) units W(:!re placed on NHLC's
property in 2011 and continue to be used on a regular basis {Monday~Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4
p.m,) as part of the childcare services/academic development programs provided onsite by the
Preschool. NHLC is seeking to convert the three modular units into a permanent structural
placement at their current location.
Our current CNB-NHLC Development Agreement states that up to six modular units can be
placed on the property, we are not looking to add any additional units only to convert the
existing three units that are currently onsite. The existing modular units were installed with
structural footings that will not have to be modified to make them permanent.
We are seeking to change the status of the Modular's from Temporary to Permanent. We feel
that this will have a minimum impact on the property and surroundings. This project will not be
considered a new construction project and will not affect the property/parking and surrounding
areas on campus.
The Modular's have been in place and operating Monday-Friday 8:30-a.m. to 4 p.m. for 11
years. Our preference is to change the status of these modulars from temporary to permanent
vs. building a new structure.
