On the Agenda: April 12 Newport Beach City Council
Meeting
Our next City Council meeting is Tuesday, April
12. Items of interest are highlighted below. The
entire agenda and reports can be viewed here.
A study session will begin at 4 p.m. Agenda items
include:
• Review of Tustin Avenue trial closure. City
staff will review traffic count data collected before
and after Tustin Avenue was closed at Cliff Drive,
and discuss traffic distribution and circulation
changes that occurred as a result of the closure.
The regular session begins at 5:30 p.m. with the following items of note:
• The Council will vote on confirming Mayor Kevin Muldoon's appointments to the General
Plan Steering Committee.
• Approval of the 2021-22 fiscal year fee study update. The Council will consider a staff
recommendation to adopt a resolution approving the fee study and revising certain fees
within the City's schedule of rents, fines and fees. If approved, the revised fees would take
effect July 1, 2022.
• Consideration of an ordinance that would amend the City's Municipal Code as it relates to
Newport Harbor activities such as raft -ups, live -aboard boaters, on -shore moorings and other
provisions.
