Good morning Jaime,
We have reviewed the final ordinance and have concluded that the final ordinance is consistent with the
Commission’s approval in November. We will be preparing a report for the March hearing
recommendation that the Commission concur with the Executive Director’s determination that the
City’s action regarding Cottage Preservation is legally adequate.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Amrita Spencer | Coastal Planner

Subject: Request for ED Determination regarding Cottage Preservation
Hi Amrita,
On January 11, 2022, the City Council adopted a resolution and introduced the ordinance
accepting the Coastal Commission’s suggested modifications and incorporating them
into the LCP Amendment related to cottage preservation. On the January 25, 2022, the
City Council conducted their second reading of the ordinance, finalizing the amendment.
Attached is the formal request for the Executive Director’s determination. I will also mail a hard copy.
Thanks again for all your hard work on these requests. Please let me know if you need anything else
from me to complete this process.
Thanks,
Jaime
