Extension of Time

Dear Mr. Bard,
The referenced Coastal Development Permit was originally approved by the City Council
on May 12, 2020. The permit became final after the Coastal Commission appeal period
on June 22, 2020. Pursuant to Section 21.54.060 (Time Limits and Extensions) of the
Newport Beach Municipal Code, the Community Development Director may extend the
approval for no more than three additional 12-month periods beyond the expiration of the
original approval. The Director must find that there have been no changes in the
conditions or circumstances of the site or project, such that there would have been
grounds for denial of the original project.
On May 11, 2022, the Community Development Director approved a 12-month extension
based on the attached written request dated April 20, 2022. Therefore, the referenced
Coastal Development Permit will now expire May 12, 2022.
