Now, in recognition of the fact that the tragic March 31, 1989 Eastbluff air disaster
likely will repeat unless the City of Newport Beach takes steps to prevent "General
Aviation" aircraft from flying over its populated areas.
Be it resolved that the Eastbluff Homeowners Community Association politely requests
the Council of the City of Newport Beach to immediately do everything possible to
require the County of Orange and the Federal Aviation Authority to strictly enforce
safe, sensible and considerate aircraft takeoff and landing rules and regulations,
and regulate accordingly ALL arriving or departing JWA aircraft so that NO commercial
or general aviation aircraft will be permitted to fly over any populated residential
or commercial area of the City.
On Behalf of the Board of Directors,
Laurie Shrader, Agent
