The City of Newport Beach Community Development Department is sending you this invitation to
consult and declare the importance of your tribe’s participation in the planning process of an
amendment to the City’s General Plan. Please consider this letter and preliminary project
information as the initiation of tribal consultation consistent with the California Environmental
Quality Act (CEQA), specifically Section 65352 (i.e., SB-18). Please respond within 90 days,
pursuant to Section 63532 if you would like to consult on this project.
