Dear Mr. Schwartz:
In accordance with the request of the Project Architect, G3SoilWorks, Inc. (G3), has prepared this
memorandum as an addendum to our above referenced reports for the proposed new residence
project located at the subject address. Based on review of the most recent architectural plans and
sections issued for Coastal Commission review (referenced above), we acknowledge that the
proposed Basement Floor elevations and required depths of excavation for the project have been
updated to accommodate a subterranean car lift, garage, and recreational room. The updated
architectural plans / sections show that floor levels for the new garage and recreational room have
been set to Elevation (El.) +5.20 feet and +3.87 feet (NAVD 88), respectively, requiring
excavations depths ranging between approximately 12 feet and 18 feet below adjacent site
grades to accommodate installation of the proposed mat slab and sub-slab waterproofing system.
