DEC34I210, MOM y C-73-) C L MUM Please accept this letter as a formal request to the City Council to purchase the remai.rring`iind that I own.near the corner of 39th and Balboa Blvd. The reason for my request is that I can do nothing with this property (except pay taxes). I cannot build or develop in any manner. I cannot even park a camper, pitch a tent or put up a lemonade stand. The city put me in this position about a year and 2 ago. The city at that time required additional land fh-rorder to widen the street. They therefore purchased HALF of this parcel, leaving me with a strip of land that is entirely not usable. The price that the city paid was established by an appraiser which was hired by the city.. I felt the amount offered was an unfair amount, but I grudinjlly accepted this amount of $42,433.00. I am requesting that the city purchase this 2 lot, and I am willing to accept the same price of $42,433.00. Please be aware that the city now owns ALL of lot 13 except the 72 feet that I was left with. The house at 203 39th street sits on 2 of lot 13 and is owned by the city and is rented by the city. You will note from the enclosed photograph that the fence has been extended by the city or the tenant so that my 72 feet appears to now be part of the 16t 203 39th street that the city owns. I respectfully request that the city purchase the 72 feet that I was left with. I feel the city has put me in a most unfair situation.
