Hi, My name is Julie. I walk all the time in the Castaways either on the trail there or on the sidewalk. I encounter E-bikers who DON'T/WON'T ride their bikes in the appropriate Bike Lanes, after I try to say to them nicely that the Bike Lane is across the street. They are very disrespectful. Is there a way that the City can make it illegal for these Bikers to ride on the sidewalk? There are people/ Elderly people and I who walk on the sidewalk, there are parents who push their children in Strollers, people who jog, and people who walk their dogs. People/kids on their E-bikes could crash into us, causing injuries, or possibly death. These E- bikers have NO care and courtesy of anyone else but themselves. I think a fine should be issued for any violators riding on the sidewalk down Dover to PCH. The sign saying Bikers Allowed On The Sidewalk should come down. Also, bikers and E-bikers speed in the Castaways on the paths when it's clearly marked at 8 Miles an hour there. This also should apply to the Back Bay..especially from the entrance to the Back Bay Preserves from/off of Santiago Drive E-bikers take clear advantage of the Pedestrians by speeding by people and me. Speed limit signs should be posted, and if they are, then they need to be more clear with the Speed Limit in bigger numbers where they are visible far away. I just want to make sure that everyone is safe . Dear City Council, It's that time of the year to say "happy holidays!" I've always appreciated the City's efforts on SB 1383 organic waste reduction and the proclamation recognizing Hunger Action Month. The next phase is rescuing edible food to feed the hungry, which is particularly important during this holiday season with high gas prices, inflation, etc. Does the City have a program? I looked up your Facebook and Twitter, I saw water savings, paper shredding... I hope you can start with some messaging on reducing food waste at the holiday gatherings. Thanks, Hoiyin Ip Cal Recycle 0 Programs - Recycle - Food._Reoo.nfy Starting in 2022, some food service businesses must donate edible food to food recovery organizations with others starting in 2024. This will help feed the almost 1 in 4 Californians without enough to eat. California has a 2025 goal to redirect to people in need 20% of edible food currently thrown away. Gov
