RE: Coastal Development Permit No. CD2017- 039 (PA2017-091) –
Extension of Time

Dear Mr. Bailey,
The referenced Coastal Development Permit was originally approved by the Zoning
Administrator on November 20, 2018. A previous one-year extension was granted on
November 19, 2021, and the permit was set to expire November 20, 2022. Pursuant to
Section 21.54.060 (Time Limits and Extensions) of the Newport Beach Municipal Code,
the Community Development Director may extend the approval for no more than three
additional 12-month periods beyond the expiration of the original approval. The Director
must find that there have been no changes in the conditions or circumstances of the site
or project, such that there would have been grounds for denial of the original project.
On November 17, 2022, the Community Development Director approved a 12-month
extension based on the attached submitted extension application dated November 16,
2022. Therefore, the referenced Coastal Development Permit will now expire November
20, 2023.
