RE: Extension of Time Request for Minor Use Permit No. UP2019-057 (PA2019-
261)
Dear Mr. Kim:
The referenced Minor Use Permit was originally approved by the Zoning Administrator
September 24, 2020, and was set to expire September 24, 2022. Pursuant to Section
21.54.060 (Time Limits and Extensions) of the Newport Beach Municipal Code, the
Community Development Director may extend the approval for no more than three
additional 12-month periods beyond the expiration of the original approval. The Director
must find that there have been no changes in the conditions or circumstances of the site
or project, such that there would have been grounds for denial of the original project.
On September 22, 2022, the Community Development Director approved a 12-month
extension based on the attached written request dated August 1, 2022. Therefore, the
referenced Minor Use Permit will now expire September 24, 2023.

Dear Liz Westmoreland,
This letter is to request the minor use permit time extension for an additional 365 days.
The project address is 4463 Birch St., Newport Beach, CA 92660. We have been working with
revision and the revision set will be resubmitted very soon. For reference, MEP plan-checks were
completed and approved already.
We hope to get your approval of the request to complete the remaining course of the plan-check,
and start the construction within the extended time frame.
