Company History & Background:
Founded in Cleveland, Ohio in 1978, Marshall Goldman Motor Sales & Leasing is widely
considered the largest and most respected Collectible, Exotic and Luxury motorcar dealer in the
United States. For almost 45 years, the name Marshall Goldman has been synonymous with the
very highest quality automobiles available for sale. At any given time, the company holds in
inventory between 150 and 275 of the very best motorcars on the planet. Inventory can comprise
of anywhere from a 1950’s vintage Mercedes-Benz all the way to a modern-day Lamborghini
supercar. All of the company’s inventory is owned by the dealership and it does not offer any
consignment sales.
In November of 2019, Marshall Goldman opened its first expansion dealership in Beverly Hills,
CA. Located right on Wilshire Boulevard, in a state-of-the-art 37,000sq/ft showroom, this location
has the ability to transport, service, detail, photograph and market all of the company’s
inventory.
It is desired by the company to now expand into Newport Beach with its first “satellite” location.
The Newport Beach showroom will be exclusively a sales boutique. All vehicle servicing, detailing,
marketing, etc. will be fully completed just 38 miles away at the Beverly Hills location. Once made
ready for sale, the vehicle will then be transported to the Newport Beach location to be offered
to the public.
The Newport Beach dealership will be small. It will inventory between 15-25 cars at any given
time. Marshall Goldman has many, many existing customers in the City of Newport Beach. The
company desires to become a part of the Newport Beach automotive community and it will be a
very well know addition to it.
Compliance with Existing Newport Beach CUP:
Marshall Goldman is already a fully licensed and bonded automobile dealership in the State of
California. It operates in Beverly Hills, in a primarily residential area, and the company
understands the sensitivity of being a good neighbor. Due to the nature of our inventory,
Marshall Goldman does not offer test drives. When a customer wishes to purchase a vehicle, all
deal terms and financing are fully negotiated and finalized. Once that has been completed, only
then is someone allowed a short drive in the vehicle to ensure all systems are operating properly
prior to taking delivery.
As detailed previously, only vehicles fully ready for sale will be sent to the Newport Beach
dealership from our Beverly Hills location. These vehicles will be sent to the store via flatbed truck
and unloaded in the parking lot just behind the dealership. At no time will cars be loaded or
unloaded on a public street. The vehicle will then be brought into the showroom, using the
existing CUP plan, through the doors located on Tustin Avenue.
