Re: Meter Address Assignment – 500 East Balboa Boulevard

Dear Mr. Metzger,
Per your request, the City has assigned the following meter addresses to the new live-work unit
at 500 East Balboa Boulevard:
1. 500 E Balboa, Unit A
2. 500 E Balboa, Unit B
3. 500 E Balboa, Unit B
Please be advised the above addresses are for metering purposes only. The live-work unit shall
be maintained in accordance with use requirements of PA2017-182 that precludes the lease or
sublease of the nonresidential portion separately from the upstairs residential portion. Please
follow the instructions of the utilities so far as how labeling is to be handled on the meter. It is
your responsibility to notify each utility provider of the meter address.
We will advise City departments; however, it will be your responsibility to inform all other affected
agencies, such as the U. S. Postal Service, Orange County Assessor, utilities, etc. Please be
sure to notify your local telephone service carrier so that responses to any “9-1-1” emergency
calls are dispatched to a valid address. The address numbers should be at least four inches
high, of contrasting color to their background, and clearly visible from the street.
