Authorize staff to dispose of City owned mobile homes via a public
DISCUSSION:
As part of the Coast Highway Widening Project, the City has purchased
several mobile homes within DeAnza Bayside Village. The homes were purchased
using City Gas Tax and Federal monies.
In order to obtain the maximum return to the City Gas Tax Fund, it is
recommended that staff be authorized to conduct a public auction sale. It is
the opinion of staff that an oral auction will ensure the greatest return to
the City. Toward this end, staff is negotiating to retain a professional
Auctioneer to conduct the auction.
Monies received will be refunded to the City Gas Tax Fund and Federal
Aid Urban Fund at a 14%/86% ratio, respectively.
