Comment Response Sheet(s)
1 Comment: Fire sprinklers are required for A-2 assembly occupancy.
NBFD recommends that the required sprinkler system also protect the
hotel units above this assembly facility.
Response: Fire sprinklers are provided in the facility w/ a 2 hr
separation between ground floor and 2nd floor. Please refer to refer to
sprinkler permits F2019-0435, 0436, 0437

2 Comment: A fire alarm system will be required for an occupancy of 300
or more. The proposal shows an occupancy of 292; this may be revised
to a higher number during plan review.
Response: 1st floor facility and hotel have existing fire alarm systems.
Occupancy will increase.

3 Comment: The patio dining is described as having 50 occupants.
Based on this assembly occupant load, 2 exits from the patio are
required. Note: patrons cannot re-enter the building to access another
exit.
Response: Patio occupants has increased to 53 occupants. Restaurant
door width accommodates extra patrons from patio.
