This is a common covenant.on many properties in the Rivo Alto area. There is no apparent authorization for the adjacent property owner to maintain the substantial illegal encroachments thatnow encum- ber this property. The Mayor has previously proposed that it be placed on the ballot for public authorization for disposal. It seems reasonable to anticipate that such a recommendation may be forwarded to the recently established Citizens Charter Review Commission unless some identifiable public purpose can be-established'for use of the property. ' As we discussed informally, it may be feasible and worthwhile to study consolidation of the parcel with the adjacent street end to form a pleasant public vista point and "mini" park on the Rivo Alto Channel. I understand that you will review this subject with the Parks, Beaches & Recreation Commission. i PHILIP BETTENCOURT PFB:cs Attachment cc: City Manager Public Works Director (Attention: Don Webb, Civil Engineer)
