Box 1768 Newport Beach, CA 92658-8915 Dear Ms. Williams: Per our telephone conversation regarding the old Bay Shore Trailer Park and Marina which were located at the corner of Pacific Coast Highway and Dover Drive, address: 112 W. Coast Highway, Newport Beach, Cal Trans bought a portion of the property from The Irvine Company for the purpose of constructing a new bridge across the entrance to the Back Bay. The entrance to our property before the construction of the bridge was fronting the Pacific Coast Highway. When the bridge was completed they sealed off the entrance to this section of the property, and then as Cal Trans and the City widened Dover Drive they put in a new drive- way about a block and a half up from Pacific Coast Highway. It is requested that a new address be assigned to this property which will reflect that its entrance is now on Dover Drive. Enclosed is a copy of the Assessor's map of the area and also a 1984 tax bill relecting ownership by The,irvine Company. If any additional information is needed, please call me. Box 1768 Newport Beach, CA 92658-8915 Re: Eastbluff Terrace Clubhouse Dear Ms. Williams: Enclosed find Vicinity Map indicating the conflict of street addresses. The apartment complex using numbers 837 through 871 Amigos Way is owned by Fist Management Company. Our tenant in 853 has had problems with the Franchise Tax Board, (see copy enclosed) using his Renters Credit on his Income Tax Return due to the Eastbluff Terrace Clubhouse carrying 853 on the Tax Accessors Map. This matter is further complicated by the fact that the Newport Beach Fire Department has requested Village Way Management Company, managers of Eastbluff Terrace Clubhouse, to post a sign on the building as "853-1/2 Amigos Way". As manager of the apartments I live at 837 Amigos Way. Upon receiving my "Notice of Election" from the Registrar of Voters I noticed the clubhouse was being used for the November 6, 1984, election, and this same facility is being addressed as "853 Domingo Drive". I hereby request your review of this matter and suggest that the clubhouse carry an "873 Amigos Way" address in the future. AEM/iw Attachment -a 0 CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH P.O. The suggestion for the proposed change has been made as the main entrance to the house fronts directly on Via Lido Nord, and the adjoining residences all bear Nord num- bers. The house immediately to the west is 827 Via Lido Nord, to the east is 84.5 Via Lido Nord, and directly across Nord, opposite the front door, are 832 and 836 Via Lido Nord. Securing a Nord number for this location reduces the confusion for visitors, delivery men, and, in addition, I am told, enhances the value of the property. The Fire Department is concerned that assigning two different street addresses to the same building may result in confusion should emergency personnel be summoned to the premises. The Building Department indicated that the Orange County Assessor's office has asked that separate address not be assigned to a single building because of the resulting confusing in maintaining accurate building and assessment records.
