Dear Ms. Lewis:
I am enclosing a copy of a fax I received from homeowner Maureen Slick at 386
Vista Baya in Newport Beach.
As near as I can figure out, Ms. Slick had been receiving her Gas Company
billing with a Newport Beach address. In several unincorporated portions of
Orange County, homeowners had Newport Beach addresses because their
areas were in our sphere of influence and because it was more efficient for them
to have their mail delivered by Newport Beach postal carriers rather than Santa
Ana postal carriers. In Ms. Slick's case, for some reason her address was
changed to a Costa Mesa address in December 2002. The address change was
not authorized by Ms. Slick or by the City of Newport Beach.
In July 2003 the unincorporated area where Ms. Slick lived was annexed into
Newport Beach so she should definitely have a Newport Beach address.

Regarding the referenced property, please change the address designation from
122 %: 40th Street to 122 4& Street, Unit B. Also, the Orange County Assessor's
office still shows the location address on the property tax bill as "Situs Pending".
When I called to ask them why, they told me that they are waiting for the City of
Newport Beach to provide them with the information they need.

Coffee House at 4547 West Coast Highway in Newport Beach. My letter is to verify that
this is the correct address for that tenant space in the shopping center.
I have also included a photocopy from our city atlas that shows all the addresses in that
shopping complex at the corner of West Coast Highway and Balboa Boulevard. RecordE
show that in 1967 there was a tenant at "4551 West Coast Highway"; however, I suspect
