Prior to approval of the reports please attend to the items below:
1. Review the Grading Plans prepared by Toal Engineering, Inc., submitted to the County that will be utilized during
construction of the project. Provide additional recommendations as necessary. Note — Consultant to provide
confirmation the approved grading plans have been reviewed prior to permit issuance.
2. Review the Building and Structural Plans submitted to the County that will be utilized during construction of the
project. Provide additional recommendations as necessary. The approved foundation plans must be reviewed and
signed/stamped by the geotechnical engineer prior to permit issuance.
3. A Retaining Wall Permit and Plan is required for this project. Please review when available and provide additional
recommendations as necessary. The approved retaining wall foundation plans must be reviewed and signed/stamped
by the geotechnical engineer prior to permit issuance.
4. A Shoring Permit and Plan is required for this project. Please review when available and provide additional
recommendations as necessary. The approved shoring plans must be reviewed and signed/stamped by the
geotechnical engineer prior to permit issuance.
5. A Swimming Pool/Spa Permit and Plan is required for this project. Please review when available and provide
additional recommendations as necessary. The approved swimming pool/spa plans must be reviewed and
signed/stamped by the geotechnical engineer prior to permit issuance.
6. Coordinate with the project Engineers as necessary to confirm that your recommendations are incorporated into the
project grading, building/structural, retaining wall, shoring and swimming pool/spa plans.
7. The submitted reports dated 7/24/14 and 1/18/16 are photocopies/PDF copies that are not wet signed/stamped by the
project geotechnical engineer and engineering geologist. Please provide original wet signed/stamped copies of your
submitted reports.
8. Provide critical cross -sections perpendicular to the property lines based on your review of the submitted project plans.
Cross -sections should extend beyond property lines as necessary (e.g. to toe of rear yard descending slope) to
accurately depict site conditions that may impact the proposed grading and construction. The cross -sections should
indicate the location of the proposed improvements/structures, existing as -graded slope/lot configuration, anticipated
subsurface conditions (e.g. geologic contacts/structure, grading removal excavation bottom configuration and
elevation, etc.), slope setback requirements and the proposed foundation/temporary excavation/shoring
recommendations from your submitted reports.

OC Development Services Process Update
1. Upon final approval and prior to permit issuance, the applicant shall be required to submit one
hard copy set of plans AND one USB drive containing separate ".pd'files for the following
as applicable:
construction plans (including all trades),
structural calculations,
soils report(s),
WQMP,
hydraulics/hydrology report.
2. A 4 X4" space located 1"from top edge and 5"from right edge of all the plan sheet shall be
left blank to receive the County's electronic approval stamp.
