Section 6.05.010 Definitions – addition:
“Dine-in” means prepared food is to be consumed on the premises from which it is sold.
“Takeout” means prepared food is to be consumed off the premises from which it is sold.
Section 6.05.022 Single-Use Reduction – revision:
A.For dine-in, food vendors shall only provide straws, lid plugs and cup sleeves to customers
upon request, and with a charge of twenty-five cents ($0.25) for every lid plug.
B.For takeout, in addition to the items and fee in Section 6.05.022.A, utensils, chopsticks,
condiment packets and napkins shall only be provided upon request, and with a charge of
twenty-five cents ($0.25) for every cutlery packet.
C.Food vendors are encouraged to charge a fee of twenty-five cents ($0.25) for straws,
utensils, cups, and/or lids.
D.Funds collected shall be retained by the food vendor.
Section 6.05.050 Enforcement – addition - same as AB-1884 plastic straw bill:
C.The first and second violations of Section 6.05.022 shall result in a notice of violation, and
any subsequent violation shall constitute an infraction punishable by a fine of twenty-five
dollars ($25) for each day the food vendor is in violation, but not to exceed three hundred
dollars ($300) annually.
