The new address will be 3999 West Coast Highway. We will advise City departments; however, it will be your responsibility to inform all other affected agencies, such as the U.S. Postal Service, Orange County Assessor, utilities, etc. Please be sure to notify your local telephone service carrier so that responses to any “9-1-1” emergency calls are dispatched to a valid address. The address numbers should be at least four inches high, of contrasting color to their background, and clearly visible from the street. I live in Balboa Coves which is across the street from Hoag Hospital's lower campus. The entrance to Balboa Coves is between the used car dealership located at 3939 West Coast Highway and the Zebb Thai Restaurant at 4001 West Coast Highway. We have been told our address for the entrance is 3999 Coast Highway. The reason I am writing to you today is because the Homeowners Association would like to install a mailbox on our property. I spoke with the postal carrier yesterday and he agreed the best place for him would be inside the planting area across from the inbound lane into our community. However, when Julius called last night he told me that he has no record of that address and that the City would have to designate it before we could move forward. Is this something you could help me with. Or, if not would you be kind enough to share the contact of someone in the City who could? Thank you for your time.
