HomeMy WebLinkAbout15 - Adopting a Nexus Study and Fee Schedule, and Establishing a Development Impact Fee Program - Public HearingCITY OF NEWPORT BEACH NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on November 12, 2024, at 4:00 p.m., or soon thereafter as the matter shall be heard, a public hearing will be conducted in the City Council Chambers at 100 Civic Center Drive, Newport Beach. The City Council of the City of Newport Beach will consider the following matter: Adoption of Nexus Study and Establishment of a Development Impact Fee Program — The adoption of a Development Impact Fee (DIF) Nexus Study and establishment of a DIF program that will be used to help fund the construction and/or expansion of planned public facilities to support police, fire, water and sewer, and recreation infrastructure to serve future residential and nonresidential development pursuant to California Government Code Section 66000 et seq and other related provisions. A copy of the Nexus Study, prepared by Willdan Financial Services on October 22, 2024, is available online at www.newportbeachca.gov/DIF or in person at the following locations during regular business hours: Newport Beach Public Library Central Library Branch 1000 Avocado Avenue Newport Beach, CA 92660 City of Newport Beach Planning Division (Bay B, 1st Floor) 100 Civic Center Drive Newport Beach, CA 92660 The above described item is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Sections 15378(b)(4), 15061(b)(3), and 15273 of the CEQA Guidelines, California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Chapter 3, because it has no potential for resulting in a physical change to the environment, either directly or indirectly. All interested parties may appear and present testimony in regard to this item. If you challenge this matter in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you raised at the public hearing or in written correspondence delivered to the City, at, or prior to, the public hearing. Administrative procedures for appeals are provided in the Newport Beach Municipal Code Chapter 20.64 (Appeals). The application may be continued to a specific future meeting date, and if such an action occurs additional public notice of the continuance will not be provided.
