'GWIAUX, Laurie's conversion story happened on the campus of Newport 9far6orOigh School, a school where he would
later be inducted into the 9faffof (Fame; and
`WXE4�M, Laurie was baptized at Pirate's Cove in ,Newport Beach, a location where he would later hold the largest
baptism inAmerican history with approximately 20,000 people in attendance andapproximately 4,500 baptisms; and
`Gh'XE4 W, Laurie is the senior pastor of Yfarvest Christian (Fellowship, which is one of the largest churches in
America, and consistently ranks among the most influential churches in the country; and
` MME M, along with his workat Yfarvest Ministries, Laurie servedas the 2013 9fonorary Chairman of the ,National
(nay of Prayer, andalso serves on the 6oardof directors of the Billy Graham (EvangefiisticAssociation; and
`WXE4�W, Laurie helpedlead the filming of a 2023 movie called "Jesus Revolution, " which fitmedPirate's Cove, Crystal
Cove, (Fun Zone, which showcased the natural beauty and spiritual history of Newport Beach; and
` &Mff,,4S, Laurie has been the Newport Beach Police (Department Chaplain for over twenty-five years; and
`W`. M,E W, Laurie has been married to Cathe for more than 49 years, and they have two sons, Christopher andgonathan,
and five grandchildren.
