My name is Michael Schrock, and I am writing to offer my strong support for Greg Reed's appointment to the
Newport Beach Planning Commission. As an architect, I am aware of the significance of this role and the vital
part it plays for the city. Living directly next to the Reeds on Kings Road in Newport Heights, a resident of our

this process.
After knowing Greg for the past several years, I can attest to his exceptional problem -solving abilities, which
believe make him an ideal candidate for this important position. His approach to challenges is thoughtful,
practical, and solution -oriented. Whether in his professional life as the founder of Golden Bear Equities and

oriented, and has a strong sense of fairness, which I believe would serve them well in addressing the
complex challenges the Planning Commission faces. Moreover, his collaborative nature will ensure they work
well with other members, city staff, and residents to make decisions that reflect the best interests of our
community.
Greg's deep understanding of our community, combined with his background in real estate, makes him
uniquely qualified to contribute to shaping the future of Newport Beach. I strongly support Greg and believe
he would be an asset to the Planning Commission. Please feel free to contact me at 949.278.1571 or via

Dear Members of the Newport Beach City Council,
My name is John Pomer and I am writing to offer my full support for Greg
Reed's appointment to the Newport Beach Planning Commission. As a
longtime resident, member of the Newport Beach Commodores and property
owner in our city, I believe our city would be in excellent hands with Mr. Reed
on the Planning Commission.
My business partners and I own several properties in Newport Beach, and we
are proud to invest in this city due to the strong leadership and vision
demonstrated by the existing City Council. I know Mr. Reed shares a similar
outlook, with a commitment to responsible growth, thoughtful development,
and preserving the unique character of our community.
Greg and his wife are raising their four young children here in Newport Beach,
where they attend our schools and are actively involved in the community. As
a family, they participate in local events and organizations, demonstrating a
strong sense of civic responsibility. Greg has lived in the city for over two
decades and has called many different Newport Beach neighborhoods home,
giving him a unique and comprehensive understanding of the diverse and
distinct qualities of each of our city's villages.
Having this broad perspective, combined with his professional background in
real estate, makes Greg an ideal candidate for the Planning Commission. He
is deeply invested in the future of Newport Beach and is committed to shaping
a city that continues to thrive while maintaining the quality of life that makes it
so special.
I am confident that Greg will bring valuable insight and thoughtful leadership
to the Planning Commission, and I strongly encourage you to support his
appointment.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
John Pomer
