PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the following: 1. Filina of Report. Pursuant to the California Health and Safety Code Section 5470 et seq., the City of Newport Beach has elected to collect residential recycling fees through the tax roll of Orange County for recycling accounts as provided herein. Accordingly, the City has caused a written report to be prepared ("Report") describing the parcels of real property in the City billed for recycling fees between July 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026. The Report has been filed with the Newport Beach City Clerk and is available for public review at the City Clerk's office during regular business hours until June 24, 2025, when the City Council will hold a public hearing to consider its adoption. 2. Notice of Public Hearina on Report. On June 24, 2025 at 4:00 PM (or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard), in the City Council Chambers located at 100 Civic Center Drive, Newport Beach, CA 92660, the Newport Beach City Council will hold a public hearing to consider any objections or protests to the Report and the election to place said fees on the tax roll. Any person wishing to make any objection or protest to the Report and the election to place said fees on the tax roll may appear and make such objection or protest at the Public Hearing. In order to include your written comments with the City Council agenda, they should be submitted in writing to the City Clerk at 100 Civic Center Drive, Newport Beach, CA, by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 23. Thereafter, any written comments should be provided in -person at the meeting. The City Council shall hear and consider all evidence, testimony, objections or protests on this matter and may continue the hearing from time to time. If you challenge any action related to this proposal in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered at, or prior to, the public hearing.
