Thank you for your response. I understand it is frustrating to go through multiple troubleshooting
steps and not have any of them work.
Could you please confirm that you wish to withdraw the application and that a medical use will no
longer occupy the subject tenant space? Once you verify this, I will coordinate with our
administrative team to issue a partial refund of the CUP application.

Patrick, I am sorry to tell you this, But this was a fiasco that started out with a tenant wanting a sign.
The city telling me that it would only run about $5,000. I have already spend over $15,000 (so far)
and still many more items to do.
I am extremely unhappy with the many different roads I ventured down to get this done. There was
the first roadblock of the parking study. You (meaning the city of NB) asked me to have a parking
study done, we did this and NB would not except it, then we re did the parking study with the
conditions you (NB) required to make adjustments for the increased parking traffic after COVID, we
did that, than you (NB) told us this was no good and we had to do a new study again (after you had
already told us that what we already finished was just fine). In addition to this, there was a bonus
assessment that was never mentioned costing us close to $10,000. Architects drawings and many
other items that became very expensive when I was originally informed we use the original parking
study done by Dr Cerni. My estimate of doing all this was closer to 40,000.
I have no intentions of obtaining a permit at this time. Keep in mind that in 2005, I had a prospective
medical tenant ready to sign a lease, we inquired with the city prior to his signing a lease and was
told that we didn’t have enough parking to get the tenant permitted. So, we let the tenant move on
and only months later, we found our parking lot being re painted to make more parking spaces and
the medical facility in 20311 was able to get a medical permit. The president of the association
decided on his own to allow Mrs’ Bayati to get her permit by increasing the parking spaces by a few.
Then a few other owners decided to get a medical space, even though they didn’t even have a
medical tenant and pursued one to get their CUP. This was done by another board member that
decided to resign from the board right at the same time she was getting her permit. I hear she just
sold her unit to be used as a medical unit to increase the value of the unit and sell it for more.
The tenant decided to forego the sign and moved on. I no longer have the need to get a CUP. Please
refund my 5k or any unused portion of the fees. Thank you.
