` VJaTa19S, the City of Newport Beach is proud to recognize young leaders who demonstrate outstanding civic
curiosity, boundless energy, and a commitment to community spirit; and
14 ET, /W, Amelia Jenkins, an exceptional student at our Lady Queen of Angels School, has been selected to serve as
Mayor for a Day, making her the youngest member of her family to step into public service and participate in local
government; and
"MET", Amelia approaches this honor with joy, enthusiasm, anda sincere Cove for her hometown —values that reflect
the strong foundation built by herfamify and the vibrant neighborhoodschool that nurtures her, and
during her term as Mayorfor a Day, Amelia tookpart in an exciting andeducationalday of civic engagement,
including touring City Ylall and the Newport Beach (Police Department, exploring Fire Station #3 and the Big Canyon
Reservoir, enjoying a scenic Yfar6or Tour with the .'Harbor Department, ando6serving the City Council9l4eeting; and
UNIM 7M, when she's not busy touring her city in an official capacity, Amelia can be found at the 'Fun Zone Arcade,
boating in the harbor, or spending time with Cooper and Chloe, her two beloved dogs and
14MJ WXAS, AmeCaa has inspired all of us with her bright spirit, her Cove for her country, and hergenuine dedication to
learning how her city works.
