On the Agenda: July 22 City Council Meeting
The next meeting of the Newport Beach City Council will be on Tuesday, July 22 at 4 p.m. The full agenda is
available here.
Agenda items include:
• Approval of the City's response to the Orange County Grand Jury report "Long -Term Solutions to Short -
Term Rentals:'
• A public hearing and resolution approving the City's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
2025-26 consolidated plan, annual action plan and citizen participation plan amendment. CDBG funds
are allocated bythe federal government to support projects and programs to benefit low- and moderate -
income residents.
• Approval of an employment agreement appointing Assistant City Manager Seimone Jurjis as Newport
Beach's City Manager effective December 27, 2025.
• Several agenda items on the July 22 are returning to the Council for final consideration following
approval and/or modifications by the California Coastal Commission. The items contain amendments
to the City's Municipal Code and Local Coastal Program Implementation Plan related to commercial
parking requirements, short-term lodging, the Tennis and Pickleball Club at Newport Beach, and other
miscellaneous administrative changes.
