The Public Works Department operates 123 City -owned traffic signals. Annually, a plan
is developed to replace and rehabilitate older traffic signals that are nearing or at the end
of their service life. The work consists of replacing aging poles, controller cabinets,
equipment, and wiring to maintain the existing traffic signal operation and increase the
reliability of the traffic signal system.
