Balboa Blvd Escrow # 66058-BF Dear Mariners Escrow: The above dock was inspected by The Harbor Resources Division of the City of Newport Beach at the property mentioned above. We cannot transfer the pier permit until the following deficiencies have been corrected and the property has been re-inspected: 1. It needs a new testable Backflow Prevention Device installed (please see diagram). 2. It needs a GFI (ground fault interrupter) on the electrical line on the float. 3. The application has been signed by both the buyer and the seller. The Newport Beach City Municipal Code 17.60.030 states: C.4. Prior to the transfer of an annual pier permit, all harbor structures shall be inspected for compliance with the City’s minimum plumbing, electrical and structural requirements, and the conditions of the existing permit. All structural deficiencies must be corrected prior to the transfer of the permit. A fee will be charged for this inspection, established by Resolution of the City Council. Please call 949-644-3323 to request a reinspection. Once the property has passed reinspection and we have the signed application, the pier will be transferred.
