Balboa Blvd. Escrow #35419-DP Dear Palomares Escrow, The Public Works Department has inspected the pier at 1016 E. Balboa Boulevard. We cannot transfer the pier permit until the following have been addressed: 1. The application needs to be signed by the buyer and seller. Please provide the wet signature to the City. 2. A GFI (ground fault interrupter) on the electrical line to the dock is required, per Municipal Code mentioned below. Once corrected, please contact me for a reinspection The Newport Beach City Municipal Code 17.60.030 states: C.4. Prior to the transfer of an annual pier permit, all harbor structures shall be inspected for compliance with the City’s minimum plumbing, electrical and structural requirements, and the conditions of the existing permit. All structural deficiencies must be corrected prior to the transfer of the permit. A fee will be charged for this inspection, established by Resolution of the City Council.
