SA2010-011 (PA2010-129) - Approved 10/15/10
Minor change to the sign program to allow for the construction of a wall-mounted secondary building
identification sign on the south side of Hoag’s Conference Center Building fronting West Coast Highway.
The sign is approximately 46.75 sq. ft. Also included in the application is a request to waive the
requirement to file a new modification permit.
SA 2009-001 (PA2009-009) - Expires 3/26/2010
Construction of two temporary pole signs at the vehicular entrance to the Emergency Department. The
poles signs shall be 16 feet tall with sign areas of 24 square-feet and 34 square-feet.

Approve minor change to sign program to add two wall signs for the child care center located within the
project. The signs will not be visible from the public streets.

For the increased size and number of project signage throughout the hospital campus. The sign
program, as presented, is for project identification and for traffic/pedestrian circulation and way-finding
purposes. A majority of the signs are visible from the interior of the hospital campus only. The exterior
project-identification signs are located on the new tower building, facing streets and at street entries on
Newport Boulevard, West Coast Highway, and Hospital Road; and the locations overlooking Newport
Boulevard. The project identification signs will generally be located on retaining and block walls that
range in height from 4- to 6-feet-high and way-finding signs range between 4- to 10-feet-tall and up to
5-feet-wide.
