NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on July 8, 2025, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach,
California, introduced an Ordinance entitled:

DEPARTMENT OF FORESTRY AND FIRE PROTECTION AND PURSUANT TO CALIFORNIA
GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 51178
This Ordinance was introduced by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach,
California, at a regular meeting thereof on the 8th day of July, 2025 and approved by the following
vote:
AYES: 4 COUNCILMEMBERS: Barto, Blom, Stapleton, Weigand
NOES: 0 COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: 0 COUNCILMEMBERS: None
RECUSED: 3 COUNCILMEMBERS: Grant, Kleiman, Weber
Second reading of Ordinance No. 2025-11 was continued at the July 22, 2025 City Council
meeting to the August 26, 2025, City Council meeting. If adopted on August 26, 2025, the
Ordinance shall become final and effective 30 days after adoption.
