Dear Mayor and Honorable City Council Members,
I am writing in support of Ordinance Nos. 2025-26, 2025-27, and 2025-28, and
I respectfully urge you to waive the second reading and adopt them on October
14, 2025.
These ordinances reflect Newport Beach's continued commitment to protecting
the health, safety, and well-being of our community. I thank you for bringing
them forward and encourage swift adoption to ensure these protections go into
effect without unnecessary delay.

Dear Honorable Newport Beach City Council Members,
I understand that Newport Beach City Council is considering the adoption of a package of
regulations to protect kids from smoke shop operators who are preying on our children by
the sale of nitrous oxide, flavored tobacco products, kratom and illegal substances. I strongly
support these regulations. I personally know of a few of my son's childhood friends who are
now addicted to vaping and/or marijuana, and actually purchase these products in Corona
Del Mar. This brings sadness to my heart because I knew them when they were innocent
young boys. Studies confirm how potent today's marijuana is, containing high levels of THC,
which has been linked to rising cases of paranoid schizophrenia among our youth. We must
stand in the gap and protect our next generation of Newport Beach children, and give them a
chance to live the blessed life that we have. Please vote yes on these regulations!
