Notice of Exemption for the subject improvements.
The Public Works Department will supply the Committee with any
additional information which may be required to make findings and recommen-
dations in this matter.

Description of Nature, Purpose, and Beneficiaries of Project:
Replace 2 deteriorated sanitary sewer mains between A and G Streets with 1 new sewer, in-
cluding new laterals to each residence along Balboa Boulevard. New sewer and laterals will
eliminate tree root penetration and most of sand and seawater infiltration into the system,
which will in turn, prolong the service life and lessen the energy costs for sewage pump-
ing at 3 downstream locations.
