Enclosed is a Notice of Determination for the construction of under-
ground utilities along Pacific Coast highway from west of`Beyside
Drive to Jamboree Road, and along Jamboree Road from the Pacific
Coast Highwayto the Balboa :Island bridge.
A Negative 'Declaration nas been prepared and is on file in our
Coawwnity Development Department.

ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
NOTICE OF DETERMINATJ
A preliminaryenvironmental review of the proposed project to construct
underground -utilities along Pacific; Coast Highway Erma west; of Weide
Drive tomboree Road; and along Jamboree Road from the Pacific Coast
Highway to the Balboa Island:Bridgehat been cOmplated., The review was
conducted in compliance with the requirements of the California Environ-
mental Quality Act of 1970, the State "Guidelines for Implementation of
the California Environmental Quaiitr Act of 197r, 404 the City`s,
"Policies and Procedures for Implementing the California Environmental
Quality Act".,
As a result of the preliminary review, it has been determined that;
1. The project is approved
Z. The project will not have a ;significant effect on
the environment.
3. An Environmental Impact Report has not been prepared.
A Negative Declaration has been prepared and is attached
hereto.
