LIDO ISLE BRIDGE REHABILITATION
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW --NOTICE OF DETERMINATION
A preliminary environmental review of the project for the
rehabilitation of the Lido Isle Bridge has been performed.
The review was conducted in accordance with the requirements
of the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970, the State
"Guidelines for Implementation of the California Environmental
Quality Act of 1970," and the City's "Policies and Procedures
for Implementing the California Environmental Quality Act."
The environmental statement'has been reviewed and was
approved by the City's Environmental Affairs Committee.
As a result of the preliminary review, it has been deter-
mined that:
1. The project is approved.
2. The project will not have a significant effect an
the environment.
3. An environmental impact report has not been prepared.
A categorical exemption has been prepared and is
attached hereto.

Description of Nature, Purpose, and Beneficiaries of Project:
Restoration of deteriorated 55-year-old reinforced concrete, structural steel and its pro-
tective coating; installation of seismic restrainers; and installation of 8" diameter
water main. To prolong the useful life of the bridge; to assure the integrity of the
structure in the event of earthquake; and to provide alternative source of domestic
water supply in the event of main repair. Beneficiaries are the residents of and visitors
to Lido Isle.
