The minutes of the meeting of January 4, 1968
were approved on the motion of Commissioner
Jakosky, seconded by Commissioner Clark and
carried.

Planning Director; Ernest Mayer, explained to
the Commission that the sign proposed to be
located in the median of Newport Center Drive
would require City.Council. approval and there-
fore the Commission would be acting in an
advisory capacity only on that ,sign.

the Irvine Company addressed the Commission re-
garding the,signing program for Newport Center,
