Dear Jeanie and Family,
On behalf of the Newport Beach City Council and our entire community, I want to
extend our deepest condolences to you and your family on the passing of Dan.
Last night, the City Council adjourned our meeting in his memory, a small but
heartfelt tribute to a man who meant so much to Corona del Mar and to Newport
Beach as a whole.
Dan was a dedicated advocate for our local businesses and for public safety, and for
nearly four decades he was an integral part of the fabric of our community. He could
always be counted on to support the events and traditions that define our
community, and his dedication was rightly recognized with the Chamber's Silver
Anchor Award and as Commodore of the Year.
Most importantly, Dan was a devoted husband, father, and friend. Our community is
better because of his generosity, leadership, and steadfast involvement.
Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We are grateful for Dan's
many years of service and for the lasting impact he leaves behind.
