Mission Statement: Promote bicycle safety and responsible cycling within the City through public
outreach, bicycle facility improvements, and review of City policies and practices related to bicycles.
1. Welcome/Call the meeting to order (Ms. Gardner)
2. Roll Call and Self-Introductions
3. Approval of Minutes
4. Current Business
a. Current/Planned Project Update – Discussion of current/proposed city projects related
to bicycle facility improvements.
b. Funding Opportunities – Discussion of current funding opportunities for bicycle facility
improvements.
c. Newport Coast Drive/SR-73 Interchange – Review of previously proposed project.
d. Bicycle Racks – Discussion of proposed bicycle rack locations and how to move forward.
e. Committee Field Trip to Long Beach – Discuss possible committee field trip to review
Long Beach bicycle facility improvements.
f. Safety Update – Police
g. September Meeting Date – Determine an alternate date for the September meeting to
avoid conflicting events.
5. Public comments on items not on the agenda.
6. Items for future agendas (non-discussion item)

COMMITTEE. PUBLIC COMMENTS ARE GENERALLY LIMITED TO EITHER THREE (3) OR FIVE (5) MINUTES PER PERSON.
IT IS THE INTENTION OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH TO COMPLY WITH THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT (ADA) IN ALL RESPECTS. IF, AS AN
