Chamber, of Commerce. The changes were reviewed
and discussed in.detail.
The following persons appeared before the.Planning
Commission in connection with these changes:
Tom Sharp, Union Oil Dealer, Corona del Mar,
believes the entire ordinance is too stricto
Joel Stransky, Western Oil.and Gas Association,
commented on tire disp

Mr. Massey, Shell Oil, Company, concurred with Mr.
Sharp and also commented on rear entra.nce.lube.bay

Kenny Lockhart, Mobil Station at Bays.ide Drive and
Coast Highway commented on landscaping stating tha
it was beautiful but not realistic.
George Perlin, Arco Station on Balboa stated that
the ordinance as drafted is impossible to live wit
and should be rejected,until further..studies are
made.

Following discussion, Amendment No. 299 was con-
tinued to October 7, 1971, in order that the
proposed ordinance-could be re- written to incorporate
the new changes as.discussed.

reason for the resubdivision was to enable them
to,sell.the property to. Herb, Brownell.
Harold Brownell appeared before the Planning
Commission on behalf of his brother, Herb Brownell
and stated that if_any improvements would have to
be constructed at this time, it would block the
sale of the property.
