CONSENT CALENDAR SUBJECT: ITEM NO. I Minutes of Special Meeting of October 4, 2005 Approved Motion was made by Commissioner Hawkins to approve the minutes. We should remember that is possible to approve a General Plan that has less capacity than what ruas analyzed in the EIR, but you can't go above what you've analyzed in :he EIR unless you re -do and re- circulate the EIR. So if you're going to err :)n one side or the other, I would encourage you to err on the high side s Ave don't find ourselves at the end of the process hung up by an EIR that fonsidered too little. This is not to suggest that you do something that nreasonabfe, or that you would never consider approving; but, if you're on the borderline I think we should keep that in mind. ie Tescher presented an overview of the element and introduc goal for Commission discussion. The document reviewed indicat ies made by the General Plan Advisory Committee at their meeting ier 15, 2005. The Commission made the following changes to t and policies presented. Commissioner McDaniel indicated that policies regardinc Irass cannot be changed because of the federal mandates.
