AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, ESTABLISH- ING THE GRADES ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF THE COAST: BOULEVARD WITHIN THE SAID I CITY- The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do ordain as fol- lows: SECTION ONE. The official grade of the Coast Boul- evard from the westerly line of Thir -' ty- eighth Street to the northeasterly bank of the Santa Ana River, which northeasterly bank is also the north -' easterly boundary line of the City of Newport Beach, and from the easter- ly bank of the Santa Ana River, which bank is also the easterly boun- dary line of the City of Newport Beach, to the easterly line of Summit Street, which easterly line of said Summit Street Is also the westerly boundary line of the City of Newport Beach, is hereby established to con- e form to the following elevations, to- wit: Along the northerly curb line of the said Coast Boulevard the grade shall " be as follows: At a point opposite the northwest- erly corner of 38th Street, 107.00. �- At a point opposite the northeaster- ly corner of 39th Street, 107.30. At the point of the Intersection with the easterly line of Summit Street, said easterly line of said Summit Street is also the westerly boundary line of the said City, 108.00. SECTION TWO. The northerly and southerly curb) lines hevem referred to of the Coast Boulevard are hereby fixed and estab- lished at a distance of 14 feet north- erly and southerly of and parallel with the center line of the said Coast Boulevard. SECTION THREE. The elevations herein given are for.. the tops of the curbs of the respective streets, are In feet, and are above the City Datum Plane, as heretofore adopted and established. At all points between consecutive designat- ed points on the same side of said 'street, the grade shall conform to a true and uniform gradient along the curb lines between said designated points. All distances between desig -. ,mated points for which the grade Ia herein established are to be measured :along the curb lines unless specifical- ly herein otherwise provided. SECTION FOUR. The City Clerk shall certify to the' passage of this ordinance and cause 1 the same to be published by one in- sertion in the Newport News, a week- ly newspaper, printed, published and circulated within the City of Newport; Beach, California, which is hereby' designated for that purpose.
