The NEWPORT NEWS, a weekly
newspaper published and circulated in
the city of Newport Beach, Is hereby
designated as the newspaper for pub-
Ilcation of said notice by the Street
Superintendent.
SECTION G.
This Ordinance shall be published
once in the NEWPORT NEWS, a
newspaper of general circulation
printed, published and circulated in
the city of Newport Beach, and it
shall thereupin take effect and be in
force.
The above and foregoing ordinance
was introduced at a regular meeting
of the Board of Trustees of the city
of Newport Beach held on the 5th day
of May, 1924, and passed by said
Board of Trustees at a regular meet-
ing thereof held on the 26th day of
May, 1924, by the vote of the follow-
ing named members of said Board of
Trustees, to -wit:

H. C. Sloan, Fred W. Young, Conrad
Richter, L. S. Wilkinson.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH DECLARING
THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY OWN-
ED BY THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH BE USED FOR STREET
PURPOSES, DESIGNATING THE
NA31E BY WHICH SAID STREET
SHALL BE KNOWN AND CALL-
ED, AND CHANGING THE NA31ES
OF CERTAIN STREETS, AND ES-
TABLISHING THE GRADES AND
CURB LINES OF CERTAIN
STREETS 'WITHIN SAID PITY.
The Board of Trustees of the City
of Newport Beach do ordain as fol-
lows:
SECTION 1. That that certain
piece or parcel of land heretofore
deeded to the City of Newport Beach
by the Southern Pacific Railway
Company, lying between the westerly
line of 21st Street, and the Easterly
line of Coast Boulevard, and extend-
ing from a line, which line Is 47.75
feet southwesterly of and parallel
with the center line of the Pacific
Electric Railway Company's right of
way, to the southeasterly prolonga-
tion of the northeasterly line of that

street of the Clty.of Newport Beach,
and the name by which said Street
shall be known and called is hereby
declared to be "Me Fadden Place."
SECTION II. That certain public
street heretofore commonly known
and called Coast Boulevard from the i
southeasterly line of 23rd Street to
the southeasterly prolongation of the
northeasterly line of that part 01
Ocean Avenue lying northwesterly of
said Coast Boulevard, is hereby Chang-
ed, and shall hereafter be known anvil
. designated as "McFadden Place.'
SECTION III. That certain public! -
street heretofore commonly known as -,
21st Street, from the northeasterly
line of Central Avenue (North Drive),
to Bay Avenue, Is hereby changed and
will hereafter be known and desig-
nated as "McFadden Place."
SECTION IV. The official grades of
certain portions of McFadden Place,
which in the Street described and
named in Sections 1, 2 and 3 hereof:
and of 21st Street from the northeast-
erly line of Central Avenue (South
Drive), to the southwesterly line of
Central Avenue North Drive); and
23rd. Street from the Westerly line c
Central Avenue to the easterly line of
Coast Boulevard are hereby estab-
lished to conform to the elevations
and grades therefor shown upon Plan
No. 299, adopted -by the Board of Trus-
tees of the City of Newport Beach by
1 Resolution No. 287, and on file In
the office of the City Clerk of said
1 City, and the curb lines of the here -
inbefore mentioned portions of
streets are hereby fixed and establish-
ed at the locations shown upon the
hereinbefore mentioned Plan No. 299.
SECTION V. The City Clerk shall
certify to the passage of this Or-
dinance and cause the same to be
Published by one insertion In the
Newport News, a weekly newspaper
printed, published and circulated in
said City, and hereby designate: for
that purpose.
