SECTION 2.
It shall be unlawful for any per -

SECTION 1.
The annual license for all auto-
mobile busses operated in the City,
�of Newport Beach for the carrying,
of passengers, freight or express
ylmatter for hire, is hereby fixed
as follows: For the first bus be.
longing to or operated by any per_
l son, firm or corporation, $25.00,!
,,land for each additional bus operat -,
ed by the same ,person, firm, or,
corporation, $10.00.
SECTION 2.
Every person, firm, or corpm-a-
tion who shall operate or attempt.
to operate any bus in the city of
Newport Beach upon which a li-
cense is imposed by Section 1 of
this Ordinance without having duly
paid the license therefor shall be!'
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor,.'
and upon conviction in a court or,
competent jurisdiction shall be
Punished by a fine of not less than
$100.00 nor greater than $200.00, j

not exceeding 30 days, or by both)
such fine and imprisonment in the
discretion of the court.
The above and foregoing Ordin-
ance shall be published once in
NEWPORT NEWS. a newspaper of
general circulation printed, pub- It
lished, and circulated in the City
of Newport Beach, and the said
ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage.
The above and foregoing ordin-
ance was passed at a regular meet-
ing of the Board of Trustees of
the City of Newport Beach held
the 2nd day of August, 1926, by
the vote of the following named
members thereof:

NOES: — Trustees, None.
ABSENT:— Trustees, None.
The above and foregoing Ordin-,
ance is hereby approved by me this

SECTION 4. "
At the time of taking out a�
building permit by any person for
the erection of any building in the!
City of Newport Beach if the said'
building when erected shall be
located within 200 feet of a main
sewer fine, an application to haves
said building connected with the
,public sewer ;hall be filed with the
Superintendent of the water sys-
tem of the city of Newport Beach,
and no building permit under such
conditions shall be issued until
said application is signed and
filed.
The application shuil set forth[
the name of the applicant and a!
description of the Property upon
which the sewer connection is to
be made, and the approximate dis-
tance of the building when erected
from the nearest point oil a main
sewer line of the public sewer.
The applicant shall also deposit
the sum of $5.00 for making the
connection and iaspeeting the same
when made, together with an ad-
ditional $1.00 for each foot of sewer

erty to be connected, the point to
be designated by the o"ae pro-
vided, however, that the minimum
fee for making any connection

I hereby certify the foregoing
Ordinance No. 302 was passed by
the board of trustees of the city

meeting thereof held the 5th day of
July, 1926, by the following vote:
