at a regular meeting held on the 5th day of December, 1932 and

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY

• O F NEWPORT BEACH,
AMENDING SECTION 8 OF
ORDINANCE NO. 403 OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH.
•
The City of Newport Beach, by
and through its City Council, do
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 8 of Or-
dinance No. 403 of the City of
Newport Beacn is hereby amend-
ed to read as follows:
The fees to be paid to the Build,
ing Inspector of the City of New-
port Beach for the issuance of a
permit for each building on which
work is to be done shall be $1.00
per one thousand (1000) yards,
or fractional part thereof, to and
including five thousand (5000)
yards, or fractional part thereof.
All over five thousand (5000)
yards shall be one - fourth (%)
cent per yard, for interior and
exterior plastering. In this con-
nection it is provided that in case
said permit shall not be applied
•
for and obtained prior to work
being done, said fees herein pro-
vided for shall be doubled.
SECTION 2. That the City
Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and cause the
same to be published once in
NEWPORT NEWS, a weekly
newspaper printed and published
in the City of Newport Beach, as
required by law, and the same
shall take effect and be in force
thirty days after its passage.
I hereby certify that the fore-
going Ordinance was introduced

at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Newport
Beach held on the 7th day of No-
vember, 1932, and was duly pass-
ed and adopted at a regular meet-
ing of said City Council held on
the 5th day of December, 1932, by
the following vote, to -wit:
AYES, Councilmen: Gordon,
Claire, Ellsworth, Garfield, Hil-
mer.
NOES, Councilmen: None.
ABSENT, Councilmen: None.
