ORDINANCE NO. 433
The City Council of the City
of Newport Beach do ordain Fy$
follows:
Section I. Section 22 of Or-
dinance No. 393, of the City of
Newport Beach, is hereby a-
mended to read'as follows:
The rate of license for the oper-
ation of a laundry is hereby fix-
ed at $50.00 per annum, and the
rate of license for operating
laundry wagons which shall be
construed to be a ve'.ticle opera-
ted, run or driven from house to,
house, or to business places, ho-
tels, restaurants, lodging houses
or apartment houses, within the
City of Newport Beach, for collec-
ting and receiving clothes, table
or bed linen, and other articles to
be washed and returned, and un-
less such wagons are operated in
connection with a laundry which
has paid the above license tax,
then the license for each laundry
Cunning or operating wagons in
said city, shall be $50.00 per
annum.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall'
be published once in Newport
News, a newspaper of general cir-
culation, printed, publishd and
circulated in the City of New-
port Beach, and shall take effect
and be in force thirty (30) days
after its passage.
The above and foregoing Or-
dinance was duly introduced be-
fore the City Council of the City
of Newport Beach at a regular
meeting thereof held on the sixth
(6th) day of May, 1935, and pass-
ed at a regular adjourned meeting
thereof held on the 20th day of
May, 1935, by the following vote,
to -wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Gordon,
Claire, Ellsworth, Garfield, Hil-
mer.
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None.
A B S E N T, COUNCILMEN
None.

dinance is signed and approved by
me this 20th day of May, 1935.
