ORDINANCE NO. 508
The City of Newport Beach, by
and through its City Council, does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: That Lots 1156,
1157, and 1178 to 1214 inclusive,
in Tract No. 907, as shown upon
a map recorded in Book 28, Pages
25 to 36 inclusive, records of Or-
ange County, California; a parcel
of land being part of Lot 3, Sec-
tion 28, Township 6 South, Range
10 West, S. B. B. & M., described
as follows: Beginning at the
southwesterly corner of Lot 1166
in Tract No. 907, as shown on a
map recorded in Book 28, Pages
25 to 36 inclusive, records of said
County; running thence easterly
along the southerly boundary line,
of said Tract No. 907, 422 feet,
more or less, to an angle point in
said boundary line; thence south-
erly along the westerly boundary
line of said Tract No. 907, 20U
feet; thence westerly in a direct
line parallel to the aforesaid south-
erly boundary line of said Tract
No. 907, 461 feet, more or less, to
an intersection with the easterly
line of Central Avenue; thence
northerly along the easterly line of
Central Avenue to the point of be-
ginning, excepting the westerly
100 feet thereof; and Lots 9 to 35
inclusive in Block 431; Lots 1 to
9 inclusive and Lots 17 to 30 in-
clusive in Block 530; Lots 13 to
21 inclusive in Block 430; Lots 16
to 26 inclusive in Block 331; all of
said Block being in Lancaster's
Addition, as shown upon a mao
recorded in Book 51 Page 14 of
Miscellaneous Maps, Records of
said County, be and the same are
hereby re -zoned from an R -3 Zone
to a C -2 Zone.
SECTION 2: That Lots 1127 to
1140 inclusive, Lots 1146 to 1155
inclusive, and Lots 1158 to 1177
inclusive, all as shown on said
map of Tract No. 907, and a par-
cel of land being a part of Lot 3,
Section 28, Township 6 South,
Range 10 West, S. B. B. & M., de-
scribed as follows: A strip of land
100 feet in width, parallel to the
easterly line of Central Avenue and
extending between the southerly
line of said Tract No. 907 and a
line 200 feet southerly of and par-
allel with the said southerly line of
Tract No. 907, - - - be and the
same are hereby re -zoned from a
C -1 District to a C -2 District.
SECTION 3: That Lots 7 to 15
inclusive in Block 331, Lots 1 to
6 inclusive in Block 430; Lots 10
to 15 inclusive in Block 329; Lots
12 to 22 inclusive in Block 230, all
as shown on said map of Lancas-
ter's Addition, . . . be and the
same are hereby re -zoned from an
R -3 Zone to an M -1 Zone.
SECTION 4: That Lots 4 to 11
inclusive and the easterly 20 feet
of Lot 3 in Block 23U; Lots 1 to
9 inclusive in Block 329; Lots 7 to
10 inclusive in Block 430, all as
shown on said map of Lancaster's
Addition.... be and the same are
hereby re -zoned from a C -2 Zone
to an M -1 Zone.
SECTION 5: That Lots 1 to 7
inclusive in Block 529, as shown on
said map of Lancaster's Addition.

re -zoned from an M -1 Zone to a
C -2 Zone.
SECTION 6: The City Engineer
of the City of Newport Beach is
hereby instructed and directed to
change the District Map so as to
show said property above describ.
ed in Section 1 hereof, in a C -2
District; the property described in
Section 2 hereof, in a C -2 District;
the property described in Section
s hereof, in an M -1 District; the
rroperty described in Section 4
hereof, in an M -1 District, and the
property described in Section 5,
hereof, in a C -2 District, and as
said District Map shall have been
so amended, the same shall remain
in full force and effect and a part
of Ordinance No. 440 of the City
of Newport Beach and amend-
ments thereto.
SECTION 7: This ordinance
shall be published once in the
NEWPORT- BALBOA PRESS, a
newspaper printed and published
and of general circulation in the
City of Newport Beach, and the
same shall be in force that ty days
after its passage.
The foregoing ordinance was in-
troduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach held on the 2nd day
of February, 1942, and was finally
Passed and adopted by said City
Council at a regular meeting there-
of held on the 2nd day of March,
1942, by the following vote. to -wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Reed,
Claire, Allen, Brown, Gordon.
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: None
