' THAT PORTION OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT .BEACH KNOWN AS THE PRESBY^_2rL IA'-d HOSPITAL SITT, AND KNOWN AS THE CITY DIS- POSAL AREA. The City of Nswp�rt B -ach, by and through its City Council does ordain as follows: SECTION 1: That the annexa- tion to the City of Newport Beach, California., of that certain uninhabited territory coy, °:i -uous to said City, lying northerly of that portion of the City of New- port Beach known as th^ Pres- byterian Hospital site, and adja- cent to that portion of the City of Newport Beach, is hereby ap- proved, and that the s a m e is hereby ordained to be annexed to and made a part of the City of Newport Beach, Cal!forn'.a. That said territory is particularly de- scribed as follows: Beginning at a point in the city boundary of the City of Newport Beach, Orange County, California, said point of beginning being the north - westerly corner of Lot 5, Tract No. 1136 as said Tract is laid out and shown upon a map recorded in Mi,3ccfln- eous Maps, Dealt 37, Pages 18 and 19, records of Orange County, California, said point also being in the easteriy line of the State P.ighcoay, SO feet in width, as shown upon a map of Tract No. 4 6 41 r e c o r d e d in Miscellaneous Maps, Book 32, Page 1, rec- ords of said Orangc County; thence southerly along said city boundary and along said easterly l i n e of the State Highway to an intersection with the center line of Old County Road, as shown upon a map of said Tract No. 564; thence southwesterly a l o n g said city boundary and along said easterly line of the State Highway to an intersection with the center line of Old County Road, as shown upon a map of said Tract No. 464; thence southwesterly along said city boundary and along said center line of Old Coun- ty Road to an intersection with the northerly prolou a- .on of the easterly lice of the County highway, 60 feet in width, as described in t h e pe'ition' for proposed highway, Newport Beach Road, as re- corded in Book 250, Page 73, records of said Orange Coun- ty: thence southerly a l o n g said city boundary and along s a i d northerly prolongation and the easterly line of said County highway, a distance of 1.00 feet to a point: thence northwesterly along said city boundary to a p o i n t in the nwthwesterty P.nc of the 60 foot right of way of the Cali- fornia S t a t e Highway, do -. scribed in Deed, r e c o r d e d June 30, 1.934, in Book 683, Page 245, Official Records of said Orange County, said Point being 360.00 feet north- erly of the intersection of the nor herly line of the w e s t ramp of the California State .g; :way, described as second; is Decd recorded June 12, 1931; in Book 489, Page 67 of Official Records of said - Orange County, with said northwesterly line of said 60 foot right of way: t h e n c e northerly and northeasterly along said westerly line of . said 60 foot right of way to an intersection with the south- westerly line of the land granted to the City of New- port Beach, by Deed dated January 22, 1919 and record- ed in Book 330, Page 22 of Deeds, records of said Orange County; thence northwesterly along the southwesterly line of said property, to the most westerly corner thereof; thence northeasterly a l o n g the northwesterly line of said property and the northeaster- ly prolongation thereof to an intersection with the center line of 15th Street, as shown upon a map of Newport Heights recorded in Miscel- haneous Maps, Book 4, Page 83, records of said Orange C:unty; thence southeasterly along the center line of said 15th Street to an intersection with the easterly line of the 100 foot right of way, grant- ed to Santa Ana Railroad, a Corporation, by Deed d a t e d October 10, 1889 and record - ed in Book 10, Page 117 of Deeds records of said Orange County: thence s o u t h e r l y along the easterly line of said 100 foot right of way to an intersection with the westerly prolongation of the northerly 1 line of Lot 5, of said Tract No. 1136: thence e a s t e r l y along said westerly prolonga- tics, to the point of begin - rang. SECTION 2: That the bound- ' aries of the City of Newport Beach, California be, and the same are hereby altered to include the above described territory, the annexation of which is approved : and ordained herein, and incorp- : crated in the City of Newport f Beach, California. i SECTION 3: That the proceed- ings and annexation herein ordain- ed are had and taken under and ;pursuant to the provisions of an Act of Legislature of the State of 'California, designated and re- ferred to as the "Annexation of 1 Uninhabited T e r r i t o r y Act of 1939 ". SECTION 4: The City Clerk shall cause this ordinance to be I published within fifteen days af- ter its passage at least once in the Newport-Balboa, Press, a newspaper of general circulation and pahhS;3Cd and circulated in the City of Newport Beach. The above and foregoing ordin- ance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 13th day of March, 1950 and was finally passed and adopted on the 27st day of March, 1950, by the following vote; to -wit: AYES, COUNCILMEN Greely, Robertson, Isbell, Blue, Drake.
