ORDINANCE NO, 844
AN ORDINANCE OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
AMENDING SECTION 4204
OF THE NEWPORT BEACH
MUNICIPAL CODE RELAT-
ING TO PICNICKING ON
BEACHES,
The City Council of the City
of Newport Beach does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1: Section 4204 of
the Newport Beach Municinal
Code is amended to read:
"SECTION 4204 Pionick-
ing on Betiches Prohibited.
No person shall serve, pre-
pare or eat lunches, dinners
or ,picnics on the public
beaches bordering on the
waters of Newport Bay in
the City, except in those
districts designated by the
City as; R -4, C -1, C -2 and
M -1 districts, and except on
such beach frontage y" the .
City Council' moo£ the City
may by resolution declare to
be public picnic grounds."
SECTION 2. This Ordinance
shall be published one in the
Newport Harbor News Press, a,
newspaper of general circula-
tion, printed and published in
the City of Newport Beach, and
the same shall be effective 30
days after the date of its adop-
tion.
This Ordinance was introduced
lat a regular meeting of the:City
Council of the City of Newport
Beach held on the 24th day of
March, 1958, and was adopted
on the 14th day of April, 1958,
